Sunday Morning Church Services and what to expect

Every Sunday

We gather as a church family to worship God every Sunday morning at 10.30 am. The service usually finishes about midday. We begin by all meeting together for a short time of worship then the children leave for LiveWires (Sunday School) and crèche. Where we gather is wheelchair accessible and there is a small induction loop. We normally have about 40/50 people attend on a Sunday – people of all ages and backgrounds.

Arriving

There is plenty of parking in the school playground.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our stewards who will help you.

What happens during the service

Our services are fairly informal and usually last about an hour to an hour and a quarter. The service includes a message from the Bible, prayers, a Bible reading and music. We use a mix of both traditional and modern hymns / songs which are displayed on a large screen. After the service we gather together for tea/coffee and a chat.

Will there be anything for my kids?

Yes. Crèche for pre-schoolers and LiveWires for primary age children.
N.B. Our church has a child protection / vulnerable persons policy and all those working with children have gone through disclosure checks.

How should I dress?

There is no dress code. Feel free to wear whatever you would normally wear.

Do I need to bring money?

During our services there is an opportunity for regular church attenders to express their worship to God through financial giving. If you are visiting however please don’t feel any obligation to give.

Once a month

First Sunday  We celebrate communion as part of the service. We have an open table and all who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ are welcome to participate.

Last Sunday

We have a fellowship lunch after our service to which anyone can come. The lunch is free and provided by the church for all.

REGULAR MIDWEEK MEETINGS

Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings  We have a number of fellowship groups which meet for Bible study and prayer during the week in houses in the area. These meet on Monday at 8.00 pm and Tuesday at 7.45 pm. All are welcome to attend. We also have a Ladies Bible Study group which meets on a Wednesday morning at 10.00 am.
We currently meet for prayer at 6.30 pm on the first and third Sunday evening of every month.
